Wilde Eastern

A cinematic virtual reality, film noir experience.

Created by Christina Elizabeth Hall & Penelope Lawson.

About Wilde Eastern

We enter the high contrast black and white world of a film noir where private eye, William Wilde, is investigating the disappearance of Scarlet Redd. Scarlet is the wife of a furiously jealous yet prominent businessman Beau Redd. Scarlet was last seen at the Montauk Manor, a local hotel with a dark history. She is rumored within the hotel to be having an affair William Wilde, because they have been spending time together.

The manor is filled with curious characters with questionable intentions. Determining where your gaze falls in this virtual world determines the ultimate fate of Scarlet. Choose wisely! Everything is not as it seems.

Project Overview

This project is a interdepartmental collaboration between both the Graduate Film Department and the Graduate Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. As such there is a partnership made between two students from each department as co-creators of the story. Additionally, they will fulfill their specific roles in the project in accordance with their perspective disciplines. We are also excited to include several high level industry professionals as creative partners. Thus this project is representation of the collaborative process and experimental nature of technology and storytelling.
